When I run into situations like the ones I'll explain in a bit, I wonder what in the world I did to deserve this...

First story starts out with a phone call from a woman in accounting. She tells me that she can't get her printer to work and she really needs to print out this month's budget and hand it in to the boss in 10 minutes. I run through the main items that I would "think" is within the possibilities of your average user....

Me: Is it powered on?
Her: Yes.
Me: Are you selecting the right printer from the drop down list?
Her: Yes, I'm doing the same thing I have been doing for months.
Me: Is there paper in the printer?
Her: I think so, let me check.....nope, that must be the problem!

DOH!!! Just to be thorough, I keep her on the line to make sure that's her only problem

Her: Ok, the paper is in and it still won't print.
Me: No biggie, I'll be down to your office in a minute.
Her: Please hurry.

I get to her office and double check everything for myself..
Power-check
printer connected to PC-check
correct printer selected-check
paper-still in the ream...

That's right, you read it correctly. She apparently opened the printer drawer and put an entire ream of paper in it....without removing the wrapping!!!

What did I do to deserve this?!?!

I only have time to post this stupid story, but don't fret...there are many more to come.
